Paul Nathanson is a founding partner of PRG with more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications. His focus is on reputation management, message development and implementation, public policy analysis, media relations and strategic counseling services for a range of U.S. and international clients. His expertise helps clients formulate their arguments in persuasive ways and ensures that their views are heard and understood by target audiences, including Members of Congress, policymakers, the news media and the public. Working closely with PRG’s lobbyists, Paul has organized comprehensive public affairs and public policy programs in the U.S. on issues including international trade, manufacturing, product safety, education, healthcare, energy, environment, intellectual property rights and monetary policy.
Paul joined the PRG team in 2009 after 15 years as a partner at The PBN Company, where he headed the firm’s Washington, DC office and managed strategic communications programs for corporations, trade associations, foreign governments and international donor agencies both in the U.S. and in the former Soviet Union. He has managed donor-funded privatization and economic reform programs overseas, and market entry and reputation management programs for private sector clients.
He began his career in the non-profit sector, where he served for seven years as a vice president at The Center for Democracy, directing democracy-building programs around the world including election monitoring, technical assistance to legislatures and international conference management in Central America, Asia, the former Soviet Union and Central and Eastern Europe.
Paul is co-President of Camp for All Kids, a non-profit organization that provides disadvantaged children with scholarships to attend private overnight camps during the summer. More than 1000 kids have received scholarships over the past 20 years.
